Richard Ofori records 5th straight clean sheet in PSL

Ghana internal Richard Ofori extended his stupendous form in the South African Professional League with a fifth straight clean sheet as Maritzburg United earned a valuable point at home to Cape Town City FC.

The Ghanaian import last conceded a league in August and has since kept 5 successive clean sheets capped with 2 MVP in the process.

The former Wa All Stars FC shot-stopper denied Cape Town City FC a deserved win with series of game-changing saves to earn a priceless draw for the struggling Maritzburg United.

Richard Ofori last conceded a league goal at the hands of Goodwill Sthembiso Dlamini and has since recorded an impressive 466 minutes without ceding a goal in the PSL.

The magical run started with a goalless draw game against Kaizer Chiefs before a Man Of The Match performance at home to Bidvest Wits earned another 0-0 scoreline for Maritzburg.

Further clean sheets against Bloemfontein Celtic, Amazulu and Cape Town City earned Richard Ofori his 5th straight clean sheet.

The team Of Choice shot-stopper picked the MVP awards against Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City FC.

Maritzburg United are 13th on the league log with 7 points from 7 league games.
