ACP Agordzo sends ‘a direct message’ to His Excellency Akufo-Addo: Treason Trial

ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzo after court proceedings on wednesday morning sent a right away message to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his trial for treason over a WhatsApp platform chat.

Mr Agordzo told journalists that President Akufo-Addo asked Ghanaians to be citizens and that is what he did by expressing his opinion.

The top police officer same he’s innocent and can fight to the very end.

“I haven’t committed any crime. I’ve done nothing wrong. The President called upon us to be citizens.” he said.

“So after I express my opinion on a WhatsApp platform, unrelated to any alleged coup, no one should bog me down.”, he added.

The police officer who appeared calm said he’s not perturbed as a result of he knows, in the end, he will be cleared. He also expressed appreciation to the media for the support.

“And i will be able to stand for this. i will be able to stand for this to the end. they can’t break me down at all. And I’m as strong as anything. thank you very much for your support.”

Hunger protest

Since he was detained for his alleged involvement in a very coup plot, ACP Agordzo has refused to eat.

This, according to his lawyer, Martin Kpebu, is to protest against the violations of his rights at the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) cells.

Speaking on JoyNews tuesday, he said ACP Dr Benjamin Agborzo isn’t doing well.

“His wife prevailed upon him but he said ‘No’, he’s not getting to eat. he’s abhorred at how the BNI is treating him,” he revealed.

ACP Dr Agordzo has been charged with abetment to commit treason.
