Samini clears up why he prefers Nana Akufo-Addo over John Mahama and others

During the week, the “My Own” hitmaker amazed fans while he opened proclaimed his support for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate beforehand of the 2020 general elections.

His endorsement was followed by a campaign music, titled “Kpoyaka”, and in the music, he incredibly praised Nana Akufo-Addo and his authorities and advised Ghanaians and his loyal fans to vote prodigiously for him.

He defined him as original, hardworking, competent and a person who’s recognized by the international community for his good governance.

Samini labelled Nana Addo as ‘show boy’ – a famous local jargon used to explain people whose efforts are broadly regarded by the complete nation.

The music comes with very little lyrics which made the complete structure of the music appear like it’s a hook-base.

Thought the authorities has praised itself for making some significant projects in its first 4 years, such as roads, free education, creation of jobs and more, Samini did not submit them in the music and rather emphasized a number of these projects in the ceremonial music video.

Since liberating the tune, Samini has been bashed by his fans – mainly the who support the opposition party, NDC – for choosing sides.

Pulse Ghana’s entertainment editor David Mawuli blasted him for playing double standard in his latest view. But, now, Samini has some reasons for fans and attackers who do not like his move.

According to him, he chose Nana Addo over different presidential candidates due to the fact he wants him to continue his ‘proper leadership’. For Samini, his desire is what makes democracy beautiful.

He dislosed this in a tweet today when a fan questioned his desire.

Samini isn’t the only top musician who has openly endorsed Nana Addo.Sarkodie has also done the same.

And only yesterday, Akufo-Addo disclosed that Daddy Lumba will renew his endorsement with a brand new campaign song.
