GFA shuts down two match-centers after mugging of players and officials

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has obtained reviews of an attack on players and officers of Real Tamale United FC who’ve succour numerous levels of injuries.

This unlucky and intolerable incident happened after their Matchday 6 Division One Zone One game performed between Nsuatreman FC and Real Tamale United FC on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at the Twumasi Sports Complex at Nsuatre in the Bono Region.

The management of the Ghana Football Association is dismayed and greatly surprised at the behaviour of the home fans.

The GFA criticize unconditionally the non-football behaviour and conducts of fans of the home team.

The Executive Council of the GFA has consequently decided to prohibit the venue indefinitely, as the Association keeps corporating with the Police to deliver the criminals of this uncivilized act to book.

Also, the GFA Prosecutor will analyse all of the reviews and press charges towards the club and bring the matter before the Disciplinary Committee at its next sitting on Thursday, February 11, 2021.In an affiliated development, Wassaman Football Club has additionally been banned from playing at the Ejisu Okese Park.

This was after officers and fans of Wassaman FC held the referee’s hostage following the abrupt end of their match against Star Madrid FC.

As a result, Wassaman FC have been banned indefinitely from hosting matches at Ejisu. In each cases, the Competition Department is mandated to determine where the 2 clubs will host their home matches till further advised.

The Association needs to send a strong caution to all clubs to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the GFA or risk deterrent sanctions.
