Pat Thomas, Popular experienced HighLife music writer, composer, singer and performer, who’s widely defined as the Golden Voice Of Africa has disclosed that Ghana Premier League Giant, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has never given him a pesewa since 1982 after recording the famous pleased song ” Asante Kotoko Oseeyie” for the group.

The music which is played at every occasion of the club, played before and after their matches and discussions is arguably one of the biggest club songs throughout the world. It’s a spiritual music that enhances the spirits of the team everywhere and anytime.

Talking in an interview with Roman on Atinka Fm Saturday , the celebrated musician out of disappointment spoke bitterly about what he defined as very unfortunate. He stated he was anticipating that the team will at least show appreciation for the superb and passionate job he did for the crew.

“Every Kotoko supporter might think I have made a lot of money out of this song but I tell you I haven’t made a pesewa from this song” he said in the discussion.

As reported by the 74 -year -old veteran musician, though he did the music with love and full of passion to see the group always bloom at every competition, it’d have been very nice for the team to appreciate his hard work.
Describing how he got motivated to put together the stated timeless club track, he stated a friend took him to the stadium to watch one of Asante Kotoko’s competitive games and right after the game he had the feeling to put together the stated music and that’s what we enjoy today.
He disclosed that he wasn’t a soccer fan prior to that fateful day.
