Hiplife artiste, Okete believes media houses should be considerate when charging upcoming musicians.

Speaking on the holiday edition of the Breakfast jam on 1Family Radio, Okete revealed that, he had paid between the ranges of 300ghc to 800ghc to promote his music at various media houses.

Although he admitted there was nothing wrong with media houses charging for promotion, he was of the view that the media houses should have reduced fees for upcoming musician.

“If you want your song to explode, industry players will try to drain you. A station tried to charge me 3000ghc which i refused because it was too much.”

“There is a perception that every musician is rich but sometimes it’s all branding so stations must be considerate.” he said.
